Pool, Porch and Pasture

On this wooded Stillwater property the pool sits between the house and a pole barn with a covered porch, so the whole yard reads as one outdoor space. We finished the landscape around the new pool: a strip of turf along the deck for bare feet, boulder and river-rock beds that soften the deck edge, young plantings sized to grow in, and lawn carried right up to the deck edge so the open lot and the pool read as one space.
